Black Metal!

Black metal is a subgenre of heavy metal, that unlike death emtal isn't trying to be as brutal and aggressive as possible, but dark, epic and atmospheric.
A lot of the early bands are from Norway, good stuff like Gorgoroth, Burzum and Immortal.

I personally found it quite pathetic that the black metal crowd was too fucking retarded to realize black metal is a genre of music, rather than a belief system. See: Christian Black Metal
