Most "music" today is crap

So I've been in quite a few discussions where people try to prove to me that one genre of music is inherently better than another. I think this is complete crap. Everything sounds the same these days........But of course you're gonna get your elitists laying their pretentious obscure bands/singers on the table and trying to prove that they are awesome simply because barely anyone has ever heard of them. I don't think there has been any really good music since the late 90s.....

I could be wrong but, one of my problems is people like my stupid fucken father.

He believes every song needs to have some sort of deeper meaning. FUCK THAT. All songs usually do have some meaning. that doesn't mean it needs to be brought up at every conversation. I enjoy a variety of music and I must say when you are like my father and feel that all your music has to have some sort of deeper meaning.. You really start to miss out on the fun of actually enjoying the music =/.
