Emo fags live in middle class suburban 5 bedroom homes and pretend to be misunderstood, sad, and friendless when it's all an act. They claim their parents hate them yet they receive $300 allowances every week so they can drive their BMW or Mercedes-Benz to the mall to go on shopping sprees at Hot Topic and buy overpriced clothes and CDs by crappy bands so they can "express themselves and not care what you think". They often take pictures of fake cuts they made using make-up and Halloween kits because they think it'll make them look cool on the internet because apparently "being able to take pain is cool". They pretend to have no friends because apparently "loners are cool" yet on any one of their MySpaces they have over 600 friends. Their style usually consists of badly cut jet black dyed hair combed over one eye, piercings in their lip and nose, a shirt and pants from Hot Topic that are 3 sizes too small, and Converse shoes. Their music sucks. Their riffs are simple and the words in their songs do not even rhyme. An emo that bought himself guitar, even a fancy one like a Gibson Les Paul could never in a thousand years play a guitar solo like Eruption.
Also I don't care if Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, and Fall Out Boy are emo. The point is their fans are emo so I hate them. End of discussion.

most of it is boring music, since there is barely anything interesting going on if you listen closely enough. all that holds the music together is the basic power chords on guitar, one note bass-lines, generic hooks, and conventional pop structure. and don't forget the dishonest vocals trying to make people feel badly for the vocalist or "share the pain of life" with them. it really makes this music scene filled with irritable assholes who are really self-centered. and i swear, most people who are in high-school are influenced in mindset and personality by the dishonest, accessible music surrounding them, turning them into these characters. im tired of these sick fuckers. tell them just to listen to daniel johnston, "hi, how are you" for once, the fucking guy couldn't sing a lie. he was bipolar. "poor you" has to be one of the most starkly honest songs i have heard. listen to that and then listen to the veritable shit thats coming out of most of the emo kids' headphones and youll think its hilarious.
but while emo kids really suck, theres really nothing worse in the music scenes than a goddamn hipster. either way, people who arent true to themselves just piss me off.
