Worst live performance I've ever seen. Not one of the band members can play in tune or time to the rest when on the stage. The politics bit sucks, but the songs are (were) interesting and different, although lately they've tried too hard and fucked it up.
In short, good music, shit band. Wont be the same by the next album.

I agree with the second post. They've always been pretty good (can't say the same about their live stuff). Their politics just became this over-sized boil on the ass of the band...Something that they shouldn't show, but did. Their first album was the best, although Serj's voice improved, his lyrics didn't. Things just went downhill. I still like the sound of the new stuff, but I wouldn't pay to see them live, and I wish they'd back off and stop trying to be a revolution.

The only decent performance ive seen of theirs is a live one in london, that was pretty fuckin sweet. ive not known of any other decent ones, but the videos seem pretty well made.
again, they should probably tack on to some better subjects other than political shite.

The political stuff is easy to overlook if it really bothers you. Overall they're a great band with a lot of experimentation thrown in.
Saw them at 0zzfest 2006 in Phoenix, was a damn fine show.
I will agree that their new albums seem to be more catchy and less heavy, but that doesn't necessarily make them bad albums.
