I'd say mine goes on 2 close-calls and one definite.
Close call 1: Taproot (Talentless hacks)
Close call 2: Creed (Do I even need to explain?)
DEFINITE WORST: My chemical romance. These goth-posers even tried to fucking cover David Bowie and Queens "Under Pressure". I wish I had gone to high school with these kids so I could've beat the shit out of them.

Anything ranging from rap music to autotuned pop shit and other talentless, degenerate pseudo-music. The 1960s should never have happened.

Well, the one that I would have to pick would be any early electronic music, or The Beatles. They both influence all the shit today. But then who knows how much worse, or better the music would get regardless of them.

....you mean, "the band that inspired everyone from Led Zeppelin to Muse to Radiohead"
How is that a bad thing? Or, for that matter, the beginning of the end?

reggeaton is a piece of shit... also all that scientifically-engineered-for-profit pop music
the Britney Speard's and Agulosers and Lady Gagag's. Sooo much shitty music it's hard to pick the worst. Deaf Leppers & Reo Methwagons. The Greed's & Dickelbacks. Then you got a lot of cuntry I'll say Garth Crooks. And too many meddle bands. And I can't tell you about pussy tdrance bands, but I've herd plenty just never got the names of the bad ones. Oh shit I almost forgot gayboy bands like Buttstreet Boys. And there so many bland shit-hawp groups that I can't tell the difference, but just take out any song with hoes & bitchs and how bad ass pimp nigga ya are yo, and that would fix that. Jam bands who think they are The Dead... snore. And Schreelex would do wub-step a favor if he tried something new. And let's not forget bischool musical. Another genre full of self indulgent drivel, Nu Age but who even knows the names of the sad ones. I'm sure there's some shit emo bands, but they are shit to me. And I'd guess 90% of the DJ's should get a real job. And Christian Rock, now there's an oxymoron. Who'd I forget?

First how can any of these bands that only a handful of kids herd of have destroyed music? They may suck but they had 0 influence on music.
The worst thing that happened to music was a band it was MTV. It was no longer about listening to music. How good you look or how good you dance or how awesome your video shouldn't matter at all when it comes to music. But thanks to MTV it's all that matters anymore. The actual music is the last thing that matters anymore.

@Empty-V: MTV wasn't the beginning of the notion that music is just 'for looks,' but MTV and music videos definitely worked as a catalyst to push for that.
I love plugging in and letting my music control my emotions.
