I wish I could just forget Christmas and kind of glide past it without realizing it's there. You can do that with birthdays sometimes, if you're very busy and there's no one to remind you. But you're not allowed to ignore Christmas. The whole world reminds you of it and forces you to acknowledge its existence, shaking sleigh bells in your ears and shining varicolored lights in your eyes, assaulting you with carols and exhortations of merriness.
