/lounge/ is the Random of the forgotten, backwater sections of 4chan. It's a place of nostalgia and hope; a place stuck in time. Visiting /lounge/ is like visiting the distant past or an alternate universe. But mostly it serves as a sad mockery of what the Internet used to be...

So its like the old peoples home?
A past generation who no longer have the will or time to keep up and move on?
I don't know what to do with this ascaii penis I have now. Seems rude to waggle it in grandpa's face
Not necessarily an old folks' home. Just a forgotten place which no one, not even the mods or moot, give a damn about. And when an unknowing someone stumbles upon these boards, they are confused by the lingo and bewildered/intimidated by the crawling speeds.

And now /s4s/ dies for the third time today.
Really. how hard is it to keep a decent imageboard these days...
Oh lord, I think I know what is going to happen now.
/s4s/ culture will meet textboard culture. If this is to happen, we must ensure it is textboard culture that takes precedence on /s4s/, not 2013-/b/ culture that overthrows textboards & /s4s/
I say this because of the decline in /s4s/ quality lately. If /s4s/ is to fall to become 2013-/b/-2.0, that is a great loss, but nothing compared to the fall of the textboards to the same.

The textboards will never fall. Ever. No newfag can adapt. We are safe. Trust me. Believe me. It's going to be alright. I promise.
My guess is the fact that it's the weekend. I personally live in EST, and have noticed many times before that the quality of content is directly related to the time, leading me to believe that a large chunk of 4channers are also leaving in EST, or at least USAmericans definitely. During my work day I am able to check in on 4chan every now and then, and it's at this time that the quality is most substantial. Then, once work is over and the children are out of school, quality goes downhill, only to improve again around the middle of the night (like 3AM) when most children are asleep. Coincidence? I think not.

I think there are a couple of posters who post as 名無し, since it's the default name on futaba. I'm anon, except in 2d threads where I'm usually 名無し with 無題 as the subject. There's also the guy who posts as 名無し with "supreme liker of lolis" in the email field.
>>61
I'm that guy. All posts in this thread is me. Also most 名無し posts in /s4s/ too, I'm just usually too lazy too put "supreme liker of lolis", all the time. I think I'm the original anyhow.
But it's nice that I appear as several persons... that is sort of the point.
To be honest, I love /s4s/ but now would be a good time to delete it again, before it really turns into /b/2. Only takes a few more days untill it's there.

It's a shame, really. People used to have fun, now in every second thread I see people yelling "go back to ___" ">>>boardname" "variations of the word nigger" "dubs decide threads"
What is this? This is bullshit. Seriously too many people that threat /s4s/ like /b/. moot should kill it before it gets worse. It makes me so angry, I think I'm going to leave for an hour to calm down.

What do you guys even mean /s4s/ has turned into /b/? /s4s/ was basically /dubs/ anyway.
>>78
/s4s/ used to be a bit like the old /b/ from around 2006 or maybe 2007. That's why some people kept comparing it to /b/.
But the problem with that was, that moot mentioned it in several threads and people promoted it on other boards (the wrong boards) which attrackted SHIT poster.
Apparently, he can't post here cuz moot banned him or something.

Did you ever wonder if the doctor, that spoke with Brue Lee's father right after Bruce Lee was born, said something like "You are now a parent, Lee" to him, telling him the good news like this?

What a bizarre thing to ask someone. Are you high? How is this relevant to the topic?!
