Why do Black people like chicken so much?

Every time I walk past the KFC, it's full of Black people. Every time I go to the supermarket, I see Black people buying chickens. I live in a Black neighbourhood, the chicken section at my supermarket is larger than the beef/pork section.

What is with Black people and chicken?

You shouldn't take it as an insult.  Depending on the context, it can be an affectionate term (as in ``he's mah nigga'').
