Why do white people like chicken so much?

Every time I walk past the KFC, it's full of white people. Every time I go to the supermarket, I see white people buying chickens. I live in a white neighbourhood, the chicken section at my supermarket is larger than the beef/pork section.

What is with white people and chicken?
