Yeah, this. Like MLP if you want, find some friends who like it too, well and good. But we all know now the rabbit hole for this fandom goes very deep and it's very easy for some to sink into it.
Go to MLP conventions: Eh, okay whatever. You're helping the economy by squandering your money on merchandise. IT'S THE AMERICAN WAY!
Make (non creepy) fanart/fanfiction: Okay, uh maybe you need to dig yourself out just a bit and find an additional hobby to occupy your time.
Talk about the show/fandom constantly to people who aren't interested in an attempt to convert them: Warning! You're approaching a moral event horizon.
