Why are asians such bad drivers?

Name: NotRedCream 2012-03-25 9:43

Ok, living in San Francisco for a time now, I am not one to stereotype, but if you go to the Asian towns here, Chinatown and Japantown, you will encounter some of the most bizarre driving you have ever experienced before.

Instead of a 3 point turn, it becomes an 80 point turn.

The light turns green but the person in front of you immediately hits the brake pedal and comes to a complete stop.

It's as though driving is incompatible with the Asian phenotype. Like some extreme clusterfuck, everything becomes jarred and incomprehensible because of some strange adaptive reasons for whatever reason.

I have my own theories as to why they're such bad drivers.

First and obvious (though probably easily discreditable) is that the subcutaneous fat layer around their eyes could impede their ability to view things as clearly as others.

Their phenotype developed in an environment where physical spatial ability wasn't very much needed, (imagine white empty flat lands, with ice storms constantly gusting).

It's very funny to see an 50 year old, very austere Asian woman, just simply trying to parallel park. What should be a simple 10 second procedure turns into some weird bizarre ritual of moving just slightly back and forth and angles which don't make sense at all.. They will drive up directly on the sidewalk and so on if something is blocking their way.
