because parents are working away from where they live, the kids have to be kept somewhere during working hours.  ideally, they would be used as factory workers for assembling tiny objects, but now we have robots and orientals.

I wish we'd do away with work entirely, handing it all over to robots and orientals while we lived a life of leisure. What a dream. I thought the whole point of technology was to free man from the long work day and let him think? Why do we work longer hours now, on average, than any non-slave in historical memory? Is it because we don't have slaves anymore? And this is progress? A sad fate to befall man. Work yourselves to death.
