So I thought I'd tell you where I am in my life.

For one, I think I've been thrown out of university. Long story but it's a whole admin fuckup from last year that I thought was sorted and now apparently isn't. Not knowing whether I'm meant to be there a lot has made it really hard to get motivated to actually do the work, and all my assignments are late.
Due to the rise in fees, this was probably my last chance to actually get a uni education, so once again I have fucked up my life.

No sign of any woman on the horizon who wants to be with an alcoholic, unemployed thirty year old broke loser, so that's another great thing. I'll probably have to leave my flat in the next month or so too and I don't know what the fuck I'm gonna do. I don't want to leave this city, but it looks like I'm going to have to and move back in with my parents until I get some shit job, which will be impossible in this economy.
I can't move back with my parents. I'm thirty fucking years old. Plus, we can only tolerate each other in small doses, we'd kill each other. I left home when I was sixteen for that reason.
Normally some of you guys hate it when I've ever talked about good things happening in my life, so I thought you'd feel pleased to know that it's all going to shit.

Do you do gigs all around the country or just wherever you live?
This band has only been together less than two months. These three gigs coming up are all in Manchester, basically doing the scene of where I live. We did our first gig a couple of weeks ago in my hometown because the singer is from there too, so it felt right. It went down well.
We have other gigs being sorted out for London, Brighton, Scarborough and fucking Milton Keynes of all places. Simply because they've ended up being ones put forward to us.

The singer dude is a complete media/fame whore, and has been for a long time, so he has a fuck load of contacts. He used to live in London for a while and went to Goldsmiths, if you know anything about that kinda shit that should tell you. Also looks like we're getting set up to play Leeds festival (only on the unsigned stage, but what the fuck, free festival tickets), the Beautiful Days Festival and the Drunk In Public gig.

Funny, when I had nothing in my life, I was happy being in bands and doing shit gigs in the hometown and nowhere else. Now it looks like this might actually go somewhere, but it's a bit tainted because I have actually thrown away a good thing with uni.
But whenever I'm doing band stuff I'm happy, just when I'm not...I'm not.
