So here I am, Day+2 post-stem-cell transplant. Chemotherapy is already done and over with. Now I am sitting here for the next 12 days with what feels like food poisoning. I have Hodgkin's Lymphoma. You might remember me posting on here a while back that I had been diagnosed as recurrent. Just when I was 6 months in through ITT, this hits me out of the blue. Oh well, just got to grin and bare it. Time to get back to downloading some porn while at the hospital here. There servers suck, but I know how to subvert their policies. I swear I could design a way better system using notepad. XD HAHAHAHA. Feel free to boo, baw, cheer, or ignore. All are welcome! :D
Ask me anything and I'll try to reply with what's going on here at the Cancer Center. Pretty cush, but there is no mental challenges. Thank God I brought a laptop to fiddle around with. Some days are entirely boring as hell.

How did they diagnose you? Were there any telltale symptoms without any heavy testing that caused them to suspect?

I've been getting rashes in places around my lymph nodes for about a year now, haven't been to the doctor in years, wondering if I should...

I started getting little water-bumps all over my body that would pop and bleed for about a year. I then came down with pneumonia and cellulitus. one month later, I started having breathing problems, went to the ER to find out that there wasn't anything wrong with me, but 2 days later at a follow-up clinic they find a mass the size of a football behind my sternum and my left lung is compressed to the size of a fist because of a pleural effusion (fluid around the outside of the lung). They sent me back to the hospital, gave me a pet/ct scan and found I had a large mass they wanted to biopsy and so they did. Then they finally drained the pleural fluid through my back using a thoracentesis. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thoracentesis

A week later they determined the mass was Hodgkin's Lymphoma and started me on Chemotherapy that day. There really was no suspect of cancer until the x-ray revealed a mass behind my sternum.

It's wise to get a pet scan if you suspect cancer. That will reveal the heat signature and location of the cancer if any and then it can be biopsied for diagnosis.

I had my labs drawn today so we'll see if I get my port taken out this Monday. It would be nice to take a regular shower without worries. I just have to make sure my platelet counts are up to 50,000 otherwise my blood won't clot. :|

One thing that pisses me off (off topic) is when I give my debit card to pick me up some groceries, they are bought at some pricey store so instead of it being $20, it's $60. >:/
Then! We go to pick up Chinese with my debit card and only when I check my checking account online it shows a $30 withdrawal instead of $10. D:<

Never give other people your card. Their habits will kill your budget. Instead of having $745 in my account, I only have $675. >:O MF! WTS RU THINKING!?!

Got my port taken out yesterday. Felt like spaghetti coming out from my collar bone. Last night it started bleeding all over the place so I had to put some saline on it to get it to clot, dry it, then sterilize it with some alcohol. They really did a shitty job of putting my first dressing on. I did a much better job cause it didn't leak all night. Though this morning I woke up to what felt like a gun-shot-wound. Thank God for vicodin. Just one more appointment tomorrow and that'll be it for me for about 3 more months. :3

Now that I'm doing a lot better I'm looking for an SF here in the PDX area in OR. Just to let you know I'm completely sterile from all the chemotherapy. The last test I had just after my first week's chemotherapy I only had 8 sperm count instead of millions. So now I'm entirely sterile after 1 more week of same chemo and 1 week of the BEAM treatment which completely wipes out all sperm cells permanently. I'm thrilled that I'll never have to wear a condom with other people who are STD negative. We can have loads of fun so just get back to me here on lounge if you are interested. Oh, and you must be a mature woman of 30+, emotional attachments are optional. :3
