I just noticed the basic fact that although almonds are aerodynamic, they are not natively able to achieve flight, much less powered flight. Spiders are far more an aerial species than almonds are, due to 'ballooning'.
Futuristipastica's initial claim is specious at best.

perhaps the nut is riding a spider

Maybe the almond was a MAGICAL FLYING ALMOND!
Just because you don't believe in it, doesn't mean MAGIC isn't real, Kream.

No. Average almond nut weight is 1.2 grams, or 1200 mg. It is unlikely to find spiders who mass over 1 mg ballooning with their silk. Thermal-riding ballooning spiders of 100 mg mass have been observed in very specific conditions, but that's still quite a bit less than almond nut mass.
You are about as likely to find coconuts migrating due to sparrows, even gripping the husk and beating their wings furiously. The sparrows, I mean; coconuts lack wings natively.

This is the first I have ever heard about the aerial threat of the electric pickle, much less the existence of an electric pickle in the first place. Please update this wiki page with your information:

I must state again and categorically that the possession of one thred on /lounge/ does not in any way restrict the possession of another thred, nor does it place restrictions on interactions in other threds. I can not make this more clear.

That is a virus-infected link and I will not select it for exposure.

My bad. I just thought you had forgotten about your thred.

I will describe it then. It is a pickle. An electric pickle. Thus proving the existence of such. I cannot say the same for flying almonds though.

Speak you then of a band? I omitted any mention of a band by such a name, since musical bands are not known for aerial stalking. I also omitted any mention of that particular hobby experiment where you place electrodes into a pickle and apply household voltage to it, producing a glow.

The video described the latter. Where you speaking of some sort of naturally electrified pickle?

Why the electrical pickles in the fields of Quintana Roo are world famous.
