Whore Heels Why Women Wear Them?

As the title says, why do women wear those 3" or higher horrifically uncomfortable (and terrible for your feet) shoes?

Is it because they think men find them attractive?
Is it because other women judge them by what they wear?

This poll is about women over the age of 25 or so, not young women who presumably are still getting comfortable with themselves.

This was prompted by the Ugg thread, where there were plenty of cracks about "ugly" footwear. I should also mention, my Mom thinks women dress provocatively for other women, more of a pecking order type thing than a way to attract men. I disagree with her.

Wow, what a bunch of sexist garbage. I wear tall shoes (5-6" heels) because I like shoes. I don't find them uncomfortable to walk in. I wear them because I like them, not because I'm a whore, or a slut, or begging for male attention. Assholes.
