I was wondering this question a lot about why the Jews did 9/11 after all we've done for Israel. I've been studying abroad in Jordan though and my professor told me an old Native American tale that he used to explain it. It's a story about a frog and a scorpion on one side of a lake.
The scorpion wanted to cross the lake, so he asked the frog if he could ride on the frog's back. The frog said that he didn't want to carry him, because he was afraid of getting stung. The scorpion said, "Don't worry! I'm not going to sting you. If you can't swim, we'll both drown." The frog thought that made sense, so he carried the scorpion.
Midway through the lake though, the scorpion stung the frog. The frog began to succumb to the venom and started to sink. He said to the scorpion, "You fool! Now we will both die. Why did you do this?" The scorpion said, "I couldn't help it. It's in my nature."
So too, that even though it wasn't in the Jews interest to attack their only friend in the United States, it's just in their Jewish nature to do so. Your thoughts?
