So, Earth gravity is what keeps us standing, and Earth gravity makes the moon orbit it. Why do we float when we are outside our atmosphere, but the moon keeps on orbit? And should'nt smaller objects be more affected by gravitational fields?

Apparently this was just a theoretical type of planet until they just discovered one a few days ago (weird we can predict shit like that)
anyways, maybe this will motivate us more to get our asses into space and mine the shit out it for money. in 1961, they said we'd be on the moon in a decade when the technology didn't even exist, and we did it in under 10 years. just goes to show what we can do when there is public desire, coupled with POLITICAL motivation.
if there was political motivation to explore space and we had an economy like we did in the 90's, i guarantee we could be in the alpha centauri ststem in less than a century
