/lounge/ pretty much reached its zenith during the Milkribs days. There's just simply too many IMAGEBOARD QUALITY users these days for it to be enjoyable. Plus, the pre-2008 days weren't that great, to be honest. 2007 was a horrid year for /lounge/ (except for the occasional crazed libertarian RedCream post, and not this soft "-Kun" bullshit these days). Apparently, this board needs a pseudonym to constantly attack to keep interesting.

I've noticed the same with /prog/, when FrozenVoid was posting, everyone, even the shittiest of shitposters would focus their attention on him, rather than spewing vile shit to their heart's content. It would seem the same concept applies to nearly all of world4ch.
