UPDATE: The plants are looking good! About 3 inches high already! I'm using CFL bulbs, only 72 watts at 6500k and 20watts 2700k until I transplant them into bigger pots. Exciting times, should get four ounces or so at the end!

Only nerdy teenagers who read too much bullshit pro-cannabis websites/magazines think you need carbon scrubbers and HPS lights for a small, personal grow. CFLs work great if you position them very close to the plants with no need to any vents or "scrubbers" (an oscillating fan is fine).

OP: If you are growing legally, consider outdoors.
4 oz from 7 plants? We had a pound from two plants last year. No shit. The plants were like 10 feet tall by harvest time.

I used to grow outdoors in my youth when I lived on a farm, I'm no stranger to getting pounds off one plant.

4 ounces would be very satisfying but even a bit ambitious for a CFL closet-on-its-side grow. But I've done a lot of research and think I can pull it off. All up it cost me $150 for all the lights, soil, nutes, fans, wiring so it's just for fun really.

Perhaps a fake OP claimed to be Dutch and growing legally? I live in NZ and the climate here would be perfect for growing outdoors if not for the police helicopters. Everybody in NZ smokes weed but you still go to jail for growing and get pointless fines/record for possessing.

I'm transplanting the (hopefully) girls into bigger pots tomorrow, they've grown nicely so far.
