In capitalism,

Nothing is fair.
Nothing is automatic.
Nothing is guaranteed.
Nothing is assured.
Nothing is earned.

You're either a "have" or a "have not" who is given or not given capital and access to the means of the production by the upper and parts of the middle class.

If you earn a pension in socialism, you will get it.

If you earn a pension in capitalism, you "might" get it.
