In short, the point of text boards is to discuss things.
There are no images, so the staple memes are somewhat frowned upon (greentexting, that feel when/my face when, etc) as are usual imageboard habits (spamming something gross no one wants to see, posting CP/other illegal content, avatarfagging, reaction images, macros), but because the users actually have to generate content (discussion) on a subject, the average 12-15-year old /b/tard gets weeded out in favor of people who can actually communicate beyond "LEL EBIN WIN UMAD" and other such garbage.

If you are prepared to venture into the land of the VIP, please note the following:
