I'm seeing in message boards people have avatars of them. Are the new stories interesting enough for adults, or is it just that they are drawn like young teen pieces of ass?

This is the conclusion I came to as well. Posting Touhou used to piss so many people off, to the extent that moot was required to make an entirely new board for it. MLP is like Western Touhou: moe characters and rabid fanbase.
