Having done some testing now, I've realized a 2 gig h264 movie looks pretty much identical to 1080p stuff.
Another reason for hating 1080p, is that the motion interpolation works much better with 720p signals than 1080p.
I fucking hate watching movies without it now, looks so much better at 48/50/60fps. Fuck jerky movie framerate.
Also, and this is even more important, a 2 fucking terrabyte harddisk costs like 100 bucks now.
That means I can fit 1000, yes, one fucking thousand h264 HD movies on it for the price of 5 blurays.
And all instantly accessible from just having the HDD plugged into the tv... Or streamed from PC for those people with better PC's than I.
