unnecessary elaboration of mind model

Name: Anonymous 2011-01-01 6:53

Yes, perhaps the most famous model of the mind is Freud's, with the id, ego, and superego.  Before you go sperging out about how it is bullshit, keep in mind that the model is over a hundred years old and was never intended to suggest that there are three physical structures in the brain in the first place.  It's a historically interesting model.

I propose that the id itself is composed of six inner ids which are contained within a seventh id, the superid.  The ego has two nodules placed 30 degrees apart on the ego surface, each sized as Mickey Mouse's ears are relative to his head.  The superego has an underlying subsuperego, and a usually dormant supersuperego that hovers above like a magnet held by superconductivity.  I haven't worked out all the details though.

Your mere enumeration of labels means nothing. Theory, proof, or get out.

I haven't worked out all the details, you son of a bitch.  Looks like someone's subsuperego needs a cable boost.
