I feel bad in a way for the students of the UK. Tey are what you described in the quote, but it was also their gov't that promised to be a good steward of their tax money and spent it all corruptly.
Although America isn't technically considered a socialist nation, it's socialist type programs, ie Medicare, Social Security, welfare, are about to meet the same fate.
The riots you see in Greece and the UK will happen in America soon.
Socialism is a system that works on paper but not in reality.
