That's not so bad. Nothing wrong here (I dont really get why he's being punished but I'm assuming it's relatively substantial). Physical pain is very well understood and processed by a child, it's very effective for discipline at that age (the 'go to your room' thing is not in my opinion). You guys had it too easy as kids, that's why you're unambitious losers.
