will humans build mile-high building

Frank Llyod Wright designed such a structure some time ago, but we have not achieved such a thing.  The mighty Sears Tower (renamed to Wachu Tahkenbout Willis Tower) is only a fraction of a mile, 1451/5280.  So, you'd need to stack 3.6 Sears Towers vertically to achieve 1 mile height.  Should we add more floors to the Sears Tower, or start from scratch?

We can build such a thing now.  However. there's no point in constructing such an edifice at this time, since you'd either have to wait a long time for elevator transport up and down the spire, or the building will be nothing but elevators to suit expected delays.
