unreliable site, one of the pictures of a "corpse in the ganges" is that of a Burmese monk who was killed during the uprising some time ago

Having been to India several times, I can vouch for the 'flavour' of the site. Although the place is filthy, and you do see the odd corpse here and there, it's hardly wall-to-wall corpses.

Is there any other place that has such an indifferent attitude to the flesh as Indians seem to have?
In a lot of these pictures basically we see fucking zombies floating around while Indians are doing their chores like nothing.
I doubt a Muslim nation with the same economic condition would allow things like this. You would not see zombies on the beach in Saudi Arabia.
This is mainly a cultural thing(it wasn't capitalism or western imperialism). This is an Indian agrarian culture that has transformed into a mass urban culture.

I saw a Current special on the lack of toilets in India, Indonesia, etc. It was so fucking disgusting. In India in many parts, everyone just shits out in the open, in the river, etc. The river was fucking covered with feces and this is the same river the indians bathe, clean, etc. in..so fucking gross.

This isn't for real?, right?. Seems a bit excessive to have that many corpses floating around.

Muslim {Islam} nations are required to BURY their dead within 24 hours. so no, culturaly they don't.

Also, in Nepal, they have 'sky burials' - a mountainside where corpses are placed for the birds and other scavangers to feed on. Religious rite.

i'm an indian
it's filthy and dirty [the poo]
but the body is just a body
look over your posts
no sense, only emotion
that's your culture, and your reaction is nothing less trivial that that [except for the poo, far out, that's just laziness and poor standards]
