Can gays be cured?

Why is it that when a pedophile is arrested people suggest "therapy" in order to "cure" or "treat" them? But when "therapy" is suggested for homosexuals people object to it?

How is "therapy" supposed to "cure" or "treat" one sexual orientation but not the other?

Pedophilia is not a disease or an illness. Homosexuality was considered an illness until the 1970's. Psychiatrists voted to remove pedophilia from the DSM before but did not because of pressure. So if pedophilia is listed as an illness because of convenience and homosexuality was removed because of convenience and they are both sexual orientations, how the hell is this "therapy" supposed to help the pedo but not the homo?

Either people are the way they are and will not change which is what I believe or Psychiatry is bullshit, which I also believe.

So why do you support "therapy" for pedophiles but not homosexuals?

#2. Nah its more like "THINK OF THE PEDOPHILES YOU REDNECK!". If we were more pragmatic we would either kill them or lock them up forever. The "therapy" is more feel good do-gooder bullshit by shrinks who funnel money into their pockets than anything else, this "therapy" and treatment nonsense has been going on for decades and the result is massive failure.

I think I might actually dislike Psychiatrists more than deviants.
