So I was in the city today and my friends and I stopped at Dave & Busters to sober up a bit. We ended up playing this trivia game with a few other people and a question came up asking who was the woman who lead the Underground Railroad and freed over 300 slaves. The selections were Susan B. Anthony, Harriet Tubman, and I forget the third.
Of course the answer was Harriet Tubman and two other people got it right as well. The three people who got it wrong, however, couldn't believe they didn't know the answer.
Did I mention all three of them were black?
Funny how they didn't know who helped free the slaves but knew who the woman was that created the US flag.
A whole mess of white people who were standing around watching laughed their asses off.
Goes to show you that while most black people spout claims of unfair racism and treatment and how they are equal, they don't even know who the main players were that helped them become free.
