Rise of belligerent louts lately

I think this may have something to do with that. Certainly as communities grow exponentially, the signal-to-noise ratio declines. This is most notable on the imageboards which is obvious to anyone who browses them for longer than five minutes.

With that, comes the spill over of imageboard quality content into boards like /lounge/ where imageboard migrants and long-time world4ch users alike exchange snarky and rude comments. One currently being a thread with the common USA vs. Europe or USA vs. UK pissing contest nonsense that is of imageboard quality these days.

Yeah, too bad, the brits need to know that they aren't the kings of the world. I was reading some wikipedia talk pages and whenever there was a difference in spelling or entire words they'd cry if the article used the American version. Not once did I hear an American bitch if a british spelling was used.

Just because you live in the dark ages with a queen and have the word "royal" plastered everywhere does not make you better than everyone else.
