It all started with Commodore Matthew Perry's expiditions to Japan, the first landing being in 1853. You see, he did this action on behalf of the US, who would go on to become very fat and pig disgusting.

He was met by representatives of the Tokugawa Shogunate who told him to proceed to Nagasaki, where there was limited trade with the Netherlands and which was the only Japanese port open to foreigners at that time (see Sakoku).
Perry refused to leave and demanded permission to present a letter from President Millard Fillmore, threatening force if he was denied. Perry ordered his ships to attack several buildings around the harbor to demonstrate US naval power. The Commodore was fully prepared for more hostilities if his negotiations with the Japanese failed, and threatened to use unrestrained fire if the Japanese refused to negotiate. He sent two white flags to them, telling them to hoist the flags when they wished a bombardment from his fleet to cease and to surrender.[9] Perry's ships were equipped with new Paixhans shell guns, capable of wreaking great destruction with every shell.[10][11] The Japanese military forces could not resist Perry's modern weaponry; the term "Black Ships", in Japan, would later come to symbolise a threat imposed by Western technology.[12]
>>1 honorable with a proud history
...Since when? They had a history of being cruel and ruthless. They committed all kinds of war crimes in the past and sided with the goddamn Nazis.
I mean really, they were the cause of the Pacific War!
If the US let Japan set their own import/export policy without fear of US bombs in 1853, they wouldn't have industrialized US style and taken on the imperialist drive of their masters.

Good god what are you talking about? The majority of samurai were not honorable, no matter what the crappy movies or whatever you watch say. Ninjas weren't even real, and if they were they sure as hell wouldn't care about honor.
Next thing you'll tell me is that knights were honorable.
