court cases should not be publicised until there is a conviction.
In case the person is found not guilty. So they dont have to live with that stigma. They should just announce to the press we have someone on this or that crime and there is a court case now we will inform you of the outcome and publicise the convicted when it is over.

Unfortunately, they might need to publicize the investigation to get more people to come forward with information. And word spreads, so I think most of their neighbors and friends would already know about it.
