Paddy and Murphy are sent on a building job in dublin, when they get there they are told to speak to the foreman. The forman says that before they start work, each must go and have his hair cut the regulation way, so they both go down to the barbers. They get there and go in, and the barber says "How would you like your hair cut fellas?" They both die of malnutrition from the potatoe famine before getting a chance to speak.
