I've been thinking about just this very thing: why do I bother
spending anytime on /lounge/ when I have no idea how true any of the information I find on it is? I eventually came to realize that it's becuase /lounge/ is fun and entertaining for the same reason a party or a bull session is.
Typically, even though it is more likely not to be acturate you'll take what people say in either one of these situations at face value and move on. Besides, /lounge/ has a built-in shit detector in the guise of people who are more than willing to correct people if they make a mistake. (that's why trolling can be so much fun.)
