When does FFXIII stop being faggy?

I'm almost 2 hours in and so far it sucks. Emo bitch leader. Faggot kid with sexy yet annoying chick. Homo metro dude looking for his "wife". The only redeeming character is the tiny chocobo in the black dudes afro.

When does this shitstain get good? Or at least better.
