Dick company

If you want to make a guy look like a Dick in mixed company call him short in passing.

Even an average sized man will get defensive about his height. Unless he's over 6'0''.

If he calls you on it just be like '' relax, man, no one cares about your height "
he'll get defensive and say something silly or just look self-conscious.

if he doesn't call you on it keep making references to it. he'll get pissed and make himself look like a dick in some other way.

well according to this book, things one has no control over, whether they worked out well for the person in question or not, people are defensive about. and will be dogmatic about.

Eg. Even a young, tall, healthy man with a full head of hair will be annoyed if you subtly say:
- he's getting old
- is short
- make him face his mortality
- is going bald.

It is critical that you be on a better footing than he ( calling a 5'11 guy short when you're 5'6'' will backfire )

If you have more hair, call him bald. if you're taller ( even if he's relatively tall too ) call him short

If you're young call him old, older call him young etc

Why would I do such things?  Such behaviour is terribly inconsiderate.

Yeah, that would make me into some kind of jerkface. And I'm not like that.
