students from distant lands

I have a couple of Indian students who apparently think I'm just funnin' them when I ask them to submit 1 problem per page, on computation paper, in pencil; for each assignment they've crammed 6 or 7 problems written in cheap (smeary) blue pen onto the front and back of a single page ripped from a spiral notebook.

From my experience with foreign students it goes like this:

Indian = Low quality of work yet somehow they have so many degrees.

Chinese = High quality of work but they lack social skills really bad.
