Well fuck me.

First time I ever got taken by a fraud, don't even know why I did it. Probably cuz it was a cute girl.

Some little bitch came to the door telling me she's selling magazines to get a scholarship. She shows me how to order and that I can claim most of it as a tax break. So I place an order and STUPIDLY write her a check. About an hour after she leaves my brain starts functioning again and I realize its a scam after reading the receipt. I promptly cancel my check online, but moments later I read an article about how if you cancel the check they'll send collections after you.

Now, I really need credit right now, being a young guy and all, so this is like paddling up shit creek at this point.

I'm going to try sending in the written cancelation on the back of my reciept but I'm sure they're going to go after me for the canceled check. And it looks like the reciept I stupidly signed gives them permission to electronically withdraw from my checking should the original check be voided.

So how do I unfuck myself?

Copy of some text on the reciept:

No post-dated checks, Checks deposited immediately, Signature serves as authorization to electronically present my check for its face value plus state authorized fees should the original be dishonored. All returned canceled, insufficient fund or account closed checks will be subject to a minimum service fee of $20

OP, you are very stupid and despicable. WHY do you need credit "as a young guy"? So you can buy toys for your habitual escapism? Live within your means you worthless piece of debris. I hope this is a lesson to you.
