Getting on the bangwagon can serve you well in some situations. The important thing is to use your powers of reason. What is this crowd, and where are they going? Would I like to get there too?
Well the point is that any activity or idea involving masses of people is bound to be base and stupider than the sum of its parts. By joining the crowd you are choosing to become stupider, less human. The crowd only ever heads to one meaningful place: a loss of individuality, and the shirking of responsibility and thought. Is that where you want to go?
