8 years already, where were you that day when the planes hit those towers?

I was sitting in band class when we heard the announcement on the loud speakers to turn to "Any channel, really."
When I saw the towers on fire I immediately rose from my seat and proclaimed "Finally, the Chickens have come home to roost."
None of my peers knew what I was talking about but the director said "Ken, I know what your talking about but now is not the time…"
Then I sat down.
The whole day was pretty weird because I was extremely familiar with Muslim extemeism at the time, mostly because my father was heavy into world politics.
About a month prior to this event in a high school economics course I wrote a paper that predicted that a serious terrorist attack would occour in Chicago, New York, or LA and it would attack what I naievly labled as "capitalism," within the next one or two years.
My teacher that read the report said that I was "crazy" and ended up showing it to the principle and the councilor.
That day everyone was asking "WTF do you think happened!?"
I said "this probably has something to do with the Taliban," which was the Islamic group that had been getting slammed in the press all Summer.
I remember that they had *something* to do with the attack on the USS Cole and the Embassy Bombings in Africa and the name was frequent seen in the international press.
I didn't name drop Al Queda as I thought the Taliban and Al Queda were one in the same at the time.
On 9/12 I learned just about every slur you could call an Arab and a Muslim.
