I don't understand Dukes of Hazzard

I've seen the show many times over the years, though maybe not a whole hour.  There's these two big beefy guys, the "Duke boys", and they drive around in a shitmobile whose doors don't work.  These big fuckin' guys have to stuff their stout bodies in and out of these tiny open door windows EVERY FUCKIN' TIME.

There's this fat short cigar man dressed in white.  I think he owns the county that the boys live in, and have a corrupt relationship with the local law enforcement.  I think he's at war with the Duke boys.  Why, I don't know.  THEY NEVER SAY WHY

On top of their car is the confederate flag.  They must be history buffs or something.
