there's the long drop, which kills you rapidly and can even decapitate you if it's a really long drop, but you need to be brave enough to jump
then the short "drop", the most agonizing way to die because you suffocate slowly (this suffocation also causes severe panic I thinks, something with CO2 levels in yuor blood). I put drop in quotation marks because you can just put a rope around someones neck and then lift it over a tree or crane. I hear that's what they did whith blacks in america and gays in Iran
but I heard there was a third and better way... it's a kind of hanging you can do from the height of a door knob. the point of that hanging is to cut off the blood supply to your brain... it's supposedly why choking game/autoerotic asphyxiation is dangerous, it happens so fast. now these may be urban legends but you DO hear about prisoners hanging themselves from their bed. I esperimented a bit, the first try gave a throat ache. the second try my head felt like it would explode. i read this is because I blocked the outer veins in my neck, which return blood from the brain. the onese that supply blood to the brain are a bit deeper. I didn't tie a knot or anything though, just wrapped a computer cable around my neck and held it with my hands. I'd like to know what you think is the best way to go about this and which kind of wire to use

This is exactly what happens, you loose consciousness in seconds then the "high" and if no one gets to you in less than 2 minutes; it's too late. That's why in the choking games your friends have to be close by to release you. My daughter just died this past august; she hanged herself from the doorknob. The coroner confirmed this. I actually thought this out and I had a pretty unique system.
First you'd need a beam and a long strand of thin rope.
Here it is;
You take a long strand of rope by the looped end ====)
in your left hand, place it under the beam and move the opposite end of the loop to the right, up, and over the beam back towards the left and then down through the loop. This creates a make-shift slipknot.
At first I was just going to have the end that went down through the loop to be connected at my ankles. This would cause the slipknot to tighten around my throat by the weight of my own body as well as any struggling would cause the cinch to become tighter as well.
However, I also visualized taking the two ends that went down through the loop to be then separated and coiled loosely so each hand could slide into each side. Then the ends of the rope would then be drawn down to my ankles ending in a dual-looped slipknot. This would cause my wrists and my neck to become locked into place by the weight of my own body.
It would look as though you were crucified. The idea behind this came form my father hanging himself, but also my fascination with the crucifixion of Christ.
All I need now is for someone to test the physics of this design and let me know how it works for you.

I had the same experience. I felt like my head would explode. I tried to tighten the belt that I used, but I still had the same feeling. Anyone know how to decrease this feeling?
