Because /n/ was a fucking troll mecca, especially with the run-up to the election, and it was a total waste of moderation resources.
lol!
Trolling the freedom hating crazy liberal faggots and the white supremacist types was the fun of /n/. How can people not see that?!
You can't expect it not to happen on a board like that. This is 4chan after all. If people wanted civilised discussion they'd go elsewhere. Mods should have just been used to clean CP and any spam.

Not only that, "transportation" already exists, in /o/ or /trv/. Plus no one browses new /n/, it has the least posts of any board, there's one new thread per day, and there's threads from one week ago on page 10.
But what really pisses me off was that the rationale for getting rid of /n/ could be applied to /b/ except that /n/ was actually a great board whereas /b/ is garbage but survived because it's the posterboy for the site.

No. /n/ was canned because racism is against the "global rules", despite the obvious lax enforcement of that rule. The old /n/ got so out of hand, that there was no choice but to can it, since so many people who ascribe to the White "nationalist" movement decided to all congregate there.
/n/ is not coming back, get over it. /b/ will be split up into multiple boards long before /n/ would ever become news again.
