Does anyone else have a really hard time admitting they were wrong and apologizing after taking a strong position in an argument? I would almost rather ride out the negative consequences of the outcome of the argument than admit defeat, which is really stupid.

It's getting harder to say "I'm sorry" with each passing day. I'm afraid I'll end up like my father: He never said sorry, and even when you squeezed it out of him, he didn't mean it. Sometimes I'll do something wrong and just stand there in regret, I try to apologize but the words won't come out so I just silently walk away.
