Why do virgins get dumped on so much?

I lost mine fairly recently....

I don't feel like a changed person.

In fact, I feel as insecure as ever.

Is it just a status thing?

Many Western societies, having few formal rituals for graduation into adulthood, and being sexually repressed, have responded with an unhealthy, confused, and naive understanding of their sexuality.  This understanding exaggerates the significance of the first experience.  The repression adds an especially aggressive aspect to the act.
