trying?

I was wondering if you guys (or gals) have a time limit where you might just give up on trying? I have the age of 40 which is quite liberal considering I am 30. Turning 30 has been quite difficult. It has been a tough year and you realize you have not done nearly as much as you have. You realize that your best days may be behind you and it kind of makes you angry yet you also feel helpless.

I still have hope yet the light in that tunnel seems quite dim. I am forcing myself to get out there but I fear at my advanced age I will make potential run away. I am still trying, but sometimes you need a self-esteem boost. How are you guys doing in terms of trying?

Any of you keep getting this "you're just not trying hard enough" speech? Seems to be the default criticism. Should I get the gasoline and light up the hoops? Cause that's what it seems like they're asking out of us. To jump through flaming hoops. Oh, I should also get a fire extinguisher. I'll try to remember than.

People keep calling me a try hard so I guess I'm trying too much?

I gave up trying when I was 16. For a short period, it threatened to take me over completely but somehow it went away, on its own.
