Why are some of the img boards down?

I haven't been able to get on img since yesterday

It's been down since this morning (UTC-5 here). Some moderator in IRC said the web server that powers /b/ and /r9k/ "must've shat itself, and as soon as someone who has ssh access to the box wakes up it should be up again." and that was said at 11:40 AM.

I think it's anontalk again. It's only 4chan's img server that's being targeted - plus anontalk is down as well. There's some sort of epic DDoS battle going on again.

Wow AnonTalk is down right now too. Though, they were up until around 5 PM today, which was about 11 hours after img.4chan.org went down. Though I think nginx shat all over itself and now team 4chan's probably gotta go call their datacenter to tell them to reboot the server. I don't think it's a DdoS attack this time, because I did not see any threads announcing an attack upon AnonTalk on /b/.

Who cares if the imageboards are down, dis.4chan.org really needs to get its own server so it doesn't go down when the rest of 4chan goes down!

It does have its own server. And the imageboards run on nginx, World4ch (dis.4chan.org) runs on Apache.
