A strong low pressure system that developed in Montana is currently moving north-northeast into Saskatchewan. This system is generating heavy snowfall with amounts of 10 to 20 centimetres. In addition this system will bring a band of freezing rain into the Lloydminster region this morning. Strong winds associated with the low pressure system can produce poor visibility in open areas due to blowing snow. Conditions will gradually improve late this evening.
